Walter Crowe with his wife I was very sick in the hospital in Anniston with double pneumonia and even put on a ventilator for a while.  I needed a rehabilitation hospital because I was so weak and HealthSouth in Gadsden was highly recommended by my physicians, family and friends.  When I was admitted here, I couldn’t feed myself, walk or even reach for a drink of water.  


I was a patient at HealthSouth in Gadsden for 20 days and now I am walking independently and am actually stronger than when I went into the hospital.  This is a great place to be and they have turned my life around.

Becoming a Patient

Our hospital provides care for those who are ready to be discharged from a hospital but not ready to return home. Treatment and care is designed to bridge the gap between hospital and home. Anyone who is limited functionally from an injury or illness can benefit from rehabilitation.
